第五次公開論壇：「回歸文化──再造西九」

去年10月8日，西九聯席於牛棚舉行第五次公開論壇，主題為「回歸文化──再造西九」。論壇邀請到馬逢國先生、梁家傑議員、陳清僑教授及司徒薇博士就當前西九項目的發展、建議設立的西九管理局及其他相關議題作深入討論。論壇完畢後，與會者通過司徒薇博士提出的決議：

1.「堅決反對『四個依然』」。
2. 堅持西九規劃必須符合「民主參與程序」。
3. 成立基層文化工作小組，從下而上推動文化規劃，發展與政策。

The Fifth Public Forum “Back to Culture Culture – Strategies in the Re-making of West Kowloon”

On 8th Oct 2005, at a critical time in WKCD development – when government announced the “way forward” for the single development approach – PPWK held its fifth public forum at the Cattle Depot to engage the public on WKCD’s future. Speakers included Prof Chan Ching-kiu Stephen ( Lingnan University ), Mr Ma Fung-kwok, SBS, JP (Convener of New Century Forum), Dr Szeto May Mirana (HKU) and LegCo WKCD panel convenor Mr Alan Leong Kah-kit. On behalf of PPWK, Dr Szeto May proposed the following resolution which was approved at the Public Forum, as follows:

• Object to the government’s “four stubborn decisions”
• Insisting that WKCD development be in strict compliance with “democratic and participatory process”
• Setting up a grassroots cultural group, advocating a bottom-up approach to cultural policy, planning and development
