As a solution partner in Hong Kong, one of the missions of mindVan is to help companies who have been long using the German ERP system Semiramis and now are going to extend their market to the land of dragon - China. VSMPO is among those many companies. Based in Russia, VSMPO "aims at supplying its titanium products to the basic industries and penetration into the most prestigious sectors of the global market: aerospace, chemical industry, power engineering and environment protection". Together with a German service provider Cosus Computers GmbH, VSMPO approached us in late 2010 for deploying the ERP Semiramis for their new branch in Beijing.

• 2010/12: Meeting with the management and IT department of VSMPO, Cosus Computers representative, as well as the managing director of VSMPO-Tirus (Beijing) in VSMPO TiRus GmbH, Frankfurt - analyzed business requirements and the setup and architecture of the existing Semiramis for the whole corporation
• 2011/01: Designed the IT infrastructure for VSMPO-Beijing. To meet the local government requirements, also designed the financial accounting system architecture, integrating UFIDA with Semiramis
• 2011/02: Implementation of Semiramis and users acceptance test. Setup of the MPLS network connecting Beijing office to administrative head office Tirus International SA, Lausanne, Switzerland, where the primary Semiramis server is hosted
• 2011/03: Semiramis successfully deployed to VSMPO-Beijing
• 2011/06: Setup of other IT infrastructure including email server and file server with another local IT service provider

• As the business in China is expanding and more users are using the ERP system, the bandwidth requirement of the MPLS network is getting higher. Yet to control the budget on the recurrent network cost, it's pressing to rethink the system architecture
• Since late 2012, mindVan has been working closely with VSMPO IT to sort out the best solution. And one of the possibilities is to set up a replication server for the ERP system
