1. Activate ourAccount: After signing up as an ourDB member, log in ourDB and click the app icon for ourAccount [demo -]
2. Housekeep Demo Data: ourAccount comes with some sample data. To start the app with a totally new environment, go back to ourDB administration workspace, and then "truncate" the data (first on acc_Trans and then acc_Account) [demo +]
3. Manage Accounts: To start using ourAccount, add, edit or delete accounts under different categories - asset, liability, equity, income or expense [demo +]
4. Add Transactions: Then start adding transactions 1. go into an account and add a transaction there; or 2. retrieve an existing transaction, click edit button, but then change the data inside and save the transaction as a new one. ourAccount adopts the concept of double-entry accounting. When adding a transaction in one account, one more transaction on the other account is added too. Likewise, when editing or deleting transactions of an account, those of the contra accounts are changed or deleted too [demo +]
5. Search Transactions and Reports: To search accounts or transactions, simply use the search form on the right pane. Or to know the financial position, specify a date range for generating an income statement, or simply an ending date for displaying a balance sheet [demo +]

• ourAccount is only a foundation app to demonstrate the power of ourDB as a transaction processing system
• It can be further customized to integrate with other ourDB extended apps e.g. posting invoices issued in ourPOS as accounting transactions in ourAccount
